About this Project: The purpose of the SMLA Stormwater Runoff Project is to document, with photos and map locations, areas of Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia that are damaged by stormwater runoff - and resulting erosion and sedimentation that can be controlled. The documentation we produce is publicly accessible on this web site; anyone with a login account can contribute photos, and anyone can search across time to view areas where runoff persists. This online documentation can highlight erosion where remediation or rules enforcement by county authorities may be appropriate. Please help us develop this database of photos and their locations. Login now - or create a new account so that we can keep you informed. Upload photos of the lake in areas where stormwater runoff erosion is known to occur, to help us establish a base of before and after runoff-related photos. If you have old photos that document runoff problems, please upload them also - and be sure to add the correct date and map location for each photo. The SMLA Stormwater Runoff Project is a project of Smith Mountain Lake Association's Lake Committee.
